Macaroni and cheese just might be the most classic dish of the American south, alongside the ever-popular fried chicken. It’s a classic side. The kind that you’ll find on the plates of adults and kids alike, a tasty, savory indulgence that’s just as wonderful in the summer as it is the chill of wintertime. The Mac Shack is a quirky Nashville based eatery that’s turned the tables on a traditional southern dish.
The Mac Shack is proud to be Nashville's first ever food truck based out of a tiny house. The cute eatery offers all sorts of macaroni and cheese options, using seasonally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of creativity to make up the menu.
Owners Jeremy and Kayla have christened the Mac Shack cuisine as, "loaded gourmet," with a myriad of mac 'n cheese bowls that are bound to please the whole family. At the time of publication, featured signature dishes include chicken & mac waffles (topped with delicious and spicy maple syrup!) and "The Ball Park," a beef hot dog topped with cheddar mac and potato chip crumbles.

Of course, there are all sorts of quirky flavors on the menu. Choose the Memphis Mac for a smoked gouda pimento mac with BBQ and slaw, or perhaps the Sheppard's Pie, which is topped with ground beef, corn, peas, carrots, and even gravy dressing!
