Wait, a secret cafe in Nashville?! Some folks might not believe it, since the city has become such a coffee haven and hipster-saturated space. There are so many cafes and coffee shops in Nashville that it’s hard to just choose one. You could try a new latte from a different coffee shop every day for a month and still not be through them all! The Loading Dock, however, is the quirky and unique jolt of energy that the city has been missing amidst its minimalistic coffee landscape, and we’re here for it.
The Loading Dock is located at 2028A Lindell Avenue, in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. It's the kind of place that pivots on warm relationships and a kind network of family and friends, where you come to experience the beauty of southern hospitality with a cup of joe.
All coffee served is made from locally roasted coffee beans, and the art on the walls is that of local artists. The Loading Dock tries - and succeeds - in their quest to support locally run businesses and artists.
This is the kind of place where you bring your kids to enjoy the bright and beautiful picnic tables, where you can have lingering lunches with best friends and significant other's. You don't have to be a regular to belong at The Loading Dock, although you may find yourself wandering back again and again.
The avocado toast is nothing but decadent, don't you think? It's topped with goat cheese, garlic hummus, balsamic reduction, and Roma tomatoes. Yum! We can't wait for their upcoming breakfast burrito, and there's nothing like the build-your-own-breakfast option that rounds out the morning quite well.
Lunchtime is just as decadent, with options like a fluffernutter sandwich rounding out a menu rife with grilled cheese and quinoa salads. If you're looking to sit and work...
You can visit for yourself from 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays. Keep in mind, they aren't open on Sundays! The Loading Dock knows how to keep you hungry for more.
If you’re looking for some more indulgent fun, this homespun restaurant just might be one of the best and most affordable eateries in the state.
