Every year Nashville hosts a Taco Festival in the late summer, usually in September. The warm end of the season heralds one last hoorah from the taco-loving crowd, sending us all into the holiday season with a full belly and bright eyes. Still, as winter melts into the sunshine of spring, we find ourselves with a hankering for those handheld eats once again – with no festival in sight. We decided to give you a DIY taco crawl, giving you the best spots in the city without the hooplah and fanfare.
There’s also no ticket price – you’re about to try the best tacos in Nashville. Happy eating, folks!
Mas Tacos is a fan favorite here in Nashville, great for date nights and to-go orders. We'd recommend indulging in a pulled pork taco alongside a heaping bowl of tortilla soup with horchata on the side.
Located in the heart of Nashville's downtown, you can catch a Preds game and top the night off with a toasty taco from Bakersfield. Their bar offerings are also fantastic!
Did you know that the famed bbq spot, Edley's, offers up brisket tacos from HEAVEN?! If not, you're in for a treat. With multiple locations around town and scads of menu options it's not difficult to make everyone in your party happy with a quick stop.
Taco Mamacita has been around for years, and though the establishment may be a chain we're continuously impressed by their taco game. If you're looking for a bit more crunch, we'd recommend indulging in a plate of nachos.
Located right beside the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bajo Sexto has quickly made a name for itself as a fun and colorful cantina in the heart of downtown. The outdoor seating is fabulous, and great for groups and smaller date nights.
The newly minted midtown taqueria has quickly become a Nashville go-to. Perfect for all sorts of events, the colorful space is perfectly situated in the heart of the city for a snazzy taco crawl.
Local Taco has two locations in Nashville, one in Sylvan Park and the other in East Nashville. You order by the taco and utilize a colorful array of baskets to tote your meal to the table. We have a penchant for their tequila lime chicken taco, so we'd highly recommend!
You may know Taco Mama from its locations in Alabama, and it has finally made its way here to Music City. Lots of options and all sorts of toppings mean that no two trips to Taco Mama will be the same.
