Foster Falls is just under 2 hours southeast of Nashville, tucked up on the Cumberland Plateau. It's a little further than other falls like Fall Creek and Cummins, but it's so worth the drive.

Foster Falls is in South Cumberland State Park, which is known for its hiking and absolutely stunning views of the Cumberland Plateau.

The hike to the falls is only two miles round trip, but the hike is all part of the beauty. The hike starts on top of the gorge, and you can almost immediately see the falls.

The trail drops steeply in to the ravine and takes you downriver, where you cross the water on an old rope bridge. Beautiful!
