Nashville is well-known for being landlocked, but just because Music City may not be located near a strong coastline doesn’t mean there is no scenic, waterfront dining around town. In fact, just north of Nashville in Gallatin, Tennessee, there is a beachy eatery that has all the vacation vibes you need if you’re looking for a break from your average day-to-day. Awedaddys Bar & Grill serves up fish tacos and live music every night to a slew of happy locals, and you can join in on the fun right on the waterfront.
You can see from the outset that Awedaddys Bar & Grill is a no-frills, humble local joint with a focus on food and service rather than uppity design. It's here that you will find a waiter with a warm smile, a bartender with your drink ready and raring to go, and a view that's unlike any other in the city.
Though there is both indoor and outdoor seating, we would recommend you snag a patio table and dine al fresco. Awedaddys Bar & Grill books great musicians throughout the week, and when the fairy lights go on and you hear the twang of a guitar the entire experience is elevated.
Expect an indulgent, seafood-heavy menu with options like crab cakes and shrimp & grits. Creamy Cajun pasta makes it easy to enjoy comfort food, and the Cuban sandwich is delicious. All sandwiches are served with golden fries and there is a great kid's menu for your tiniest diners. Don't skip out on the Bushwacker, either! The boozy, milkshake-esque drink from Awedaddys is considered one of the best in Sumner County.
If you're looking for a beautiful place to hang your hat come summertime, Gallatin, Tennessee may be your best bet. Awedaddys Bar & Grill is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
