Nashville is full of beautiful restaurants, so it can be hard to choose just one for dinner on Friday night. If you’re looking for a main course, we can help you out right here. But if you’d like a beautiful restaurant with amazing food AND the best dessert in the city? Well, then you better read on, dear reader. Saltine just opened in Nashville, Tennessee, and it’s one of the prettiest places you could eat, with a dessert menu that will make your mouth water.
Saltine just opened off of West End Avenue, and prides itself on serving fine, fresh fare. On closer look, however, it's not just the food that deserves the "fresh" moniker.
Choose from a raw bar rife with oysters and shrimp cocktail, or dive a little deeper into the menu with a Louisiana-esque house andouille sausage to start and a bourre burger (fried oyster!) to sate your hunger.
Then, of course, there's dessert. At Saltine it's decadence defined with options such as the pictured cinnamon roll cheesecake, and the campfire reminiscent banoffee pie that boasts banana, graham cracker and dulce de leche.
This highly anticipated local restaurant lives up to its savory, yet simple name. Salty and bright, yet somehow nostalgic.
You can visit for yourself at 1918 West End Ave in Nashville, Tennessee, from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11a.m. to 1a.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10:30a.m to 10p.m on Sundays. Make sure to come by for weekend brunch, if you can. It’s a doozy!
