There are all sorts of beautiful places to stay in the city of Nashville. In recent years, multiple bed and breakfasts, contemporary hotels and darling Airbnb’s have popped up all over town. In theory, it’s fantastic! Unfortunately, with so many lovely places to stay it’s difficult to choose the right spot for your trip to Music City. That’s where East Nashville’s boutique hotel, The Russell, can help out. A beautiful space with a heart for the local community, it’s arguably one of the best hotels in town.
The Russell is a thoughtfully designed boutique hotel that's tucked away in the heart of historic East Nashville. Located in an old church, the building has a history that's over 100-years-old.
The interior is both colorful and upscale. Look up, and guests will see the original stained glass windows from the building's church days, as well as atmospheric additions like exposed brick walls.
The entire space carries an ambiance that allows for pure relaxation. Each of the rooms have been carefully designed with the comfort of guests in mind, and the 23-room boutique hotel has been welcoming folks through its front doors since early June.
The 40-foot ceiling in the main lobby boasts everything from clean, modern design to exposed beams. The Russell is truly one of a kind, both in its offerings and its business slogan. The Russell claims, "Stay Here, Change Lives," and they're not joking around.
The hotel gives away quite a bit of its income to local charities and homeless non-profits. The Russell claims that an average stay by a paying guest provides sixteen meals and beds to those in need at local homeless shelters. Not only do guests get a wonderful trip, but they're helping out the community as well.
Make sure to check reservation prices for yourself, but an average night at the Russell can go anywhere from $155 a night to close to $300 for the light-infused penthouse suite.
