Rotier's Restaurant has been known for serving up a hot, tasty burger alongside beers and french fries since 1945. It remains one of the oldest establishments in the city, and makes its home in what used to be a carriage house for the now defunct Elliston Mansion.

The interior is cozy and homey, taking on the feel of a classic dive bar with everything from pinball machines to swivel chairs at the front bar. A Nashville landmark, it's lauded by locals and celebrities alike. Rumor has it that you may just find Charlie Daniels swigging a beer at the bar, if you're lucky.

There it is, folks. Perhaps the best burger in Nashville, Rotier's does a great job serving up a decadent plate of true Americana between two slices of French bread. It's their restaurant special and is known all over the region as a savory indulgence.

We'd recommend ordering the the classic cheeseburger with a side of onion rings, but the pulled pork bbq sandwich is made with locally smoked meat, and the grilled cheese is served with triple cheese and on sourdough. Yum!

You can even order a wiener burger, made with 1/4 pound grilled hot dog served on a white bun with cheese. There's no end to the heft of decadence served up at Rotier's! Keep in mind that the price's are also on par, so you can come and eat your fill for less than $15.

If you haven't visited this Nashville gem, it's definitely a must the next time you're in the city. You can come by for a decadent burger from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Keep in mind that Rotier's is closed on Sundays, so you'll have to get your fill the rest of the week.
