Christmas is coming, and that means all the fun and excitement of the holiday season is in full swing. Whether you’re looking forward to the magic of the season for yourself or are reliving all the fun of childhood through the eyes of your little ones, there’s something exciting about Chattanooga’s North Pole Limited Event. It takes place every December, and leaves from the famed Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in the heart of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s fun for the whole family, and may end up being a new family tradition.
The North Pole Limited is a 75-minute train ride that begins in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and takes guests on a magical journey to the North Pole by way of the southern countryside.
Folks will board the train either as an evening event, or on select dates with late morning and early afternoon departure times. They're treated to refreshments, caroling and storytelling along the way. The entire train is decked out in holiday regalia, making the experience even more magical.
Santa, of course, will be making his appearance. He shows up every trip during the return ride, and provides a keepsake to every child on board. What magic.
Tickets should be purchased in advance to accommodate your entire party. If you're visiting with a group larger than six, make sure to contact the folks at the Tennessee Valley Railroad to make sure you sit with your friends and family.
There are different tiers of tickets available, including traditional tickets that are the cheapest, a series of four tickets in the Elves and Bells car, which provides a bit of an upgrade regarding amenities, and the exclusive Santa's Private Car. It's a bit of a splurge, but for extended time with Santa and Christmas books supplied? It's well worth the experience.
Will you be joining us on this magical journey? Train departure times kick off on November 16th, and will continue through Saturday, December 28th. Make sure to buy early! This incredible adventure sells out quickly.
