It’s officially summer, and that means kids are out of school! With all of that free time and the beautiful weather comes a lot more energy. It can be hard keeping them occupied all summer before school starts back up! Nashville has a lot of amazing parks and playgrounds, but there’s one that stands out above all of the rest. In fact, it’s such a great playground that we think all of the adults out there will even have a hard time leaving this hidden Nashville gem.
The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a staple among Nashville families, but possibly its most underrated family attraction is its Jungle Gym. Located between animal exhibits at the zoo, this playground offers a beautiful and nearly exotic setting for your child to play and learn.
The Jungle Gym is a 35-foot tall tree house with over 66,000 square feet of room to play. The playground includes swings, slides, and even a giant snake tunnel. There's so much to see and do in the Jungle Gym that your kids won't want to leave!
Don't just take our word for it, though. The Nashville Zoo's Jungle Gym was ranked in the top 20 of the world's coolest playgrounds! We might be biased towards Tennessee playgrounds, but it's not hard to see why this playground is such a hit!
The Jungle Gym is also available to exclusively rent for birthday parties! The zoo will even provide pizza and cake for your party for an extra fee. For more information, be sure to check out the Zoo's website.
The one downside of the Jungle Gym is that you have to buy admission to the zoo in order to access the playground. That being said, zoo memberships are $100 per year for a household membership which includes 1 named adult and their children or grandchildren under the age of 18. This is definitely worth it if you plan on visiting multiple times.
