Have you ever heard of Pie Town in Nashville, Tennessee? It's located right by downtown, and in it, you'll find husband and wife team Jason and Lea Crockarell serving up tacos in a 400-square-foot bungalow.
Known for its punchy atmosphere and affordability, Pie Town Tacos offers simple, delicious fare with Mexican-inspired sides and sweets. The eatery also operates a food truck and offers catering options for larger parties.
The menu is simple and direct, with street-style tacos, bowls, and extras like chips and queso available for hungry diners. You can order tacos with meals like grilled fish, pork, and steak, and there are even "Nashville Style" tacos stuffed with hot chicken, hot cauliflower, and hot fish. Yum!
There's even an airy outdoor deck for you to enjoy your feast! If you're looking for a low-key recommendation, we REALLY would encourage you to add chorizo to your queso.
Bowls are also available, like the potato and chorizo bowl or even one with tofu chorizo. You can build your own as well, adding chicken or carne asada to a base of either rice and beans or potatoes.
The difficult thing is... where do you stop?! The options feel endless and there are even sopapillas, a deep-fried pastry usually eaten with honey or sugar with Spanish roots, available if you need a little something sweet after your meal.
Pie Town Tacos offers meals for pickup or delivery as well as a few visitors at a time for dine-in, so you can get something to eat whether you're looking to stay or get it on the go. You can enjoy tacos for yourself from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day but Sunday when the taco hot spot is closed.
