There's No Other Café in America Quite Like This One In Nashville
Touted by celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, the Nashville-based Picnic Cafe is an experience for the taste buds and the memory books. The fun atmosphere paired with sweet southern hospitality makes for an enjoyable meal, one that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Give your taste buds a break, you foodies, and let’s return to the basics in life – care to go on a picnic?

The Picnic was founded in 1983 by Kathy Bennet, and has since made a name for itself here in Nashville.

You can even order a cookbook entitled, "Cherished Recipes: The Picnic and its Friends." It outlines some of the most beloved menu items from the restaurant, like Kathy's Crescent Cookies.

One of the neatest things that TRULY sets this space apart is the atmosphere. You'll feel as if you've stepped back in Mayberry, somewhere perfect to eat a picnic lunch behind a picket fence, surrounded by gorgeous family china and yellowing sunshine.

If you head over for breakfast we'd recommend their homemade sausage and egg casserole, or try out their quiche of the day. It's made fresh for every open day of the week, so you'll be surprised!

Headed over for lunch? It doesn't get better that The Picnic Delight, a meal served up with a scoop of their amazing chicken or tuna salad, with a muffin, fruit and a side salad. Looking for a bit more of a surprise? Ask about the casserole of the day!

You can visit for yourself at 4320 Harding Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. Hours are from 8-5 from Monday to Friday, 8-4pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. As you do, folks.
