Nashville is constantly introducing new restaurants and contemporary eating experiences to the hungry public, but every once in a while there’s a new spot that simply takes the cake when it comes to find dining. The Pelican & Pig has recently been named one of the best restaurants in the city, and folks shouldn’t take such an honor lightly. The foodie city has been lauded by publications all over the United States, and there’s nothing like an award-winning meal to end the right. Check out the Pelican & Pig when you’re looking for a good meal in Music City, Tennessee, and leave the hot chicken for lunchtime. This is one experience you won’t want to miss!
The Pelican & Pig is a newly opened Nashville restaurant that's located on Gallatin Avenue, the main thoroughfare through the east side of the city. The seasonal menu has quickly caught the eye - and wrangled the tastebuds - of locals and tourists alike.
The menu is both rustically inspired and creative, with all ingredients sourced seasonally. Cozy and indulgent, the "wood-fired restaurant" has been serving up comfort food since its opening in January, 2019.
Owners Nick and Audra Guidry have worked hard to create a fine-casual dining space that's inspired by their expansive travels around the world. With options like "Nashville Hot" fried cheese and Creole BBQ shrimp, it's not hard to imagine indulgences from across the nation.
Crawfish rolls and french onion fingerlings dot the menu, with wood-grilled broccolini tempting the veggie-minded and a 72-hour brine on the short rib attracting all carnivores. There's something for everyone, so be prepared for a decadent experience.
If you aren't looking for a full meal, pop by for Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Tuesday to Sunday. There's nothing like a craft cocktail to round out the workday, and it's something done right at well at the Pelican & Pig.
Will you be joining for dinner? You can visit the Pelican & Pig from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and until 10 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday. Keep in mind, the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
