East Nashville is home to some of the best restaurants in the city, and you can now add the Pelican and the Pig to that list. The newest project from the folks behind Slow Hand Coffee have now opened up a restaurant that is so beautiful and has food so good, you won’t be able to get there fast enough. But if the food doesn’t keep you coming back for more, their rolls might.
East Nashville's newest restaurant comes from a couple of familiar faces. The couple that started the restaurant is also behind the neighborhood's popular Slow Hand Coffee and Bakeshop!
The Pelican and Pig has a little something for everyone, and we mean for everyone. Almost all of the dishes are designed to be shareable.

Everything in the restaurant is designed to give nod to both the old and the new. A perfect example is this classic Steak Frites plate with a new twist of black garlic and scallions.
