The 650-Acre State Park Near Nashville That Stands Out From The Rest
Getting outside isn’t too difficult in Nashville, with the myriad of incredible state and city parks at your disposal. Still, with so many at your fingertips, it’s easy to choose the same spot, over and over, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable experience. Our one question for you, comfort seekers: have you been to Peeler Park? It’s just a hot second from the heart of the city, but it will feel like you’ve rocketed a million miles away.

Peeler Park is known officially as EN Peeler Park, and it's located in Madison, Tennessee, just north of the Nashville city center. The park runs right along the Cumberland River...

...which makes way for some pretty incredible views, no matter the time of day.

The park is largely pastoral and is located in a curve of the Cumberland River known as Neely's Bend. There's a 1.9-mile multi-use path, as well as equestrian trails and a public boat launch.

The park recently acquired an additional 381 acres, which means a total of 650 acres make up the beautiful and lush north Nashville park.

There's also an airfield for remote-control planes if you're interested in flying the wide open skies above the park.

The four-mile paved greenway is perfect for runners, walkers and joggers alike, and we'd highly recommend taking a hike if you have the capacity. A sunset hike with this kind of view should not be squandered.

If you want to visit for yourself, make sure to head towards 2271 Neely's Bend Rd. in Madison, Tennessee.
If you’re still looking for a unique and interesting place to visit, then you should check out this crazy East Tennessee museum. It’s unbelievable.
