Part of the fun of living in a city like Nashville is that each neighborhood has its own unique restaurants that inevitably become favorites of everyone within walking distance, but sometimes you want the joy of feeling like you’ve traveled off the beaten path and found a hidden gem. While some of these gems aren’t so hidden, they’re certainly out of the way, and they’re absolutely worth the visit.
Known for their legendary biscuits and homemade jams, Loveless Cafe is the epitome of home cooking. It's a little ways outside of Nashville, but it's always worth it for a good weekend breakfast. 8400 TN-100.

The original Martin's BBQ in Nolensville is also a little hard to get to unless you live in the area, but it's absolutely worth a pilgrimage. Just be sure to time your visit right so that you don't end up hitting lines like this! 7238 Nolensville Rd.
