Nashville has loads and loads of great restaurants all across town, but for one magical week every year, many of them throw their best efforts into the ring in a food competition to end all food competitions. That’s right folks, we’re talking about Nashville Taco Week, the week of the year where local restaurants offer $2 a la carte tacos in a bid for the crowd-voted crown of “Best Taco in Nashville.” The stakes are clearly very high (bragging rights are a big deal, you know), and the tacos rise to the occasion. The real question is, how many tacos can you try?
If you're a frequent follower of our page, you'll notice that we love tacos, and we're not ashamed of it. Luckily, here in Nashville, we have an entire week dedicated to this delicious food.
For a week every year, near the end of the summer, multiple restaurants participate in the Taco Week. These beauties from That Awesome Taco Truck (that's the name of the truck) are of course a part of the festivities.
For taco lovers out there, if you take a picture of your tacos and tag both @nashvillescene and #scenetacoweek18 in your picture on Instagram, you're entered to win prizes!
Get out there and get your tacos! The 2018 version of the event takes place September 3rd to September 9th, and at the end of the week, folks that have had the tacos can vote for their favorites. The winner gets a plaque and bragging rights! You can find the full list of participating restaurants along with more information at the Nashville Taco Week website. Happy taco-ing!
