This Unique And Fun Renaissance Festival Near Nashville Will Take You Back In Time
Nashville may be better known for country music and cowboy boots, the bright lights of Broadway and streaks of Honky-Tonks that pepper downtown, but the annual Renaissance Festival that takes place right outside of city limits is also a pretty incredible experience. Located in Franklin, Tennessee, the annual May festival makes for a fun experience for the entire family. It’s almost time to attend in 2019, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Every May, Nashville, Tennessee sends you back in time to the oft-imagined 16th century England. With over sixty artisans from all over the country hawking their wares and delicious recipes, it makes for a fun way to start the warmer seasons.

The Village of Covington Glen, as it has come to be called, flares to life with everything from silk and sword stands to specialty foods and fun, renaissance inspired activities.

There are multiple events that run through the heart of the festival's run dates, including an armored joust, a children's knighting ceremony and even a Pirate's Weekend for little ones.

After eating your fill from one of the well-vetted vendors, make sure to take the Castle Gwynn Educational Tour that occurs during the earlier hours of the day and pop into the Imogene Stones Tapestry Exhibit.
