When most people think, “diner food,” they’re considered coffee served with a thin layer of grounds, fluffy, puffy pancakes served with rivers of melted butter, and eggs barely fried and served alongside a fried slice of bread. The quality may be a little low, but the hospitality is high and no one leaves hungry. Of course, Mane & Rye Dinerant in Nashville is turning that old school consideration on its head. This midtown eatery touts itself as a contemporary dining experience, and its beautiful atmosphere and expansive menu make it a must-visit.
Diners are welcomed all day long for an indulgent meal. Come on over for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even a delicious weekend brunch. The impeccably designed interior evokes all of the nostalgia of a classic diner, with a contemporary twist.
Although Mane & Rye Dinerant presents as an upscale eatery, don't be fooled. It's a casual eatery at its heart, serving up classic diner food with a modern twist. Plus, like any diner worth its salt, breakfast is served all day long.
The sour cream pancakes are served with bourbon anglaise, candied pecans, and peach compote, which may just make them the most decadent flapjacks in the city. Make sure to snag a classic "truck stop" breakfast if your belly won't stop grumbling. It includes eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon, and a choice of toast.
Fancy breakfast thoughts aside, there's no better spot for a classic American burger. Even the snacks on Mane & Rye Dinerant's menu are inspired, with cheddar-green chili spiced chips served with charred scallion dip and pimento deviled eggs topped with bacon jam. Yum!
Although reservations are recommended, they aren't required. Not ready for a whole meal? No problem! The Mane & Rye Dinerant coffee bar serves up Stay Golden coffee and High Garden Tea. It's all in the Nashville family here at the Hutton Hotel.
Will you be joining? You can visit for yourself from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy your decadent diner fare, dear friends!
