Adelicia Hayes Franklin had her new husband begin building the stunning Belmont Mansion in 1849, and she completely fell in love with the land and home. It now sits on Belmont University's campus and serves as both a museum and event venue.
Forever a Nashville date night gem, the colloquially named, "Pedestrian Bridge" stretches over the Cumberland River and does not cater to vehicular traffic. Sorry, folks.
