This Downtown Nashville Restaurant Has A Secret Hidden Bar You'll Want To Discover
No matter how many new bars or restaurants Nashville rolls out on an annual basis, we want to try every single one of them. Every time. We’re in love with our ever-changing southern cuisine, and even more happy to watch bars pop up that aren’t filled to the bring with twangy music and neon. Don’t get us wrong – we love our honkytonks! Still, every once in a while it’s nice to indulge in a soothing evening out, and this downtown restaurant has a secret bar that’s sure to fit the bill.

Makeready Libations & Liberation has made a name for itself in the heart of Nashville for serving up new takes on American tavern food.

We're talking delicious burgers and cocktails, rotisserie offerings and a beer hall that rounds out an honest meal for the southern local or tourist.

Makeready is meant to be a refuge for folks seeking good food with a twist, a place to leave your troubles at the door and where you can focus on eating your fill four times a day - breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on Sundays, of course.

Did you know, however, that there's a hidden bar tucked away in their "storage closet"? Sure, it sounds a bit crazy and we don't want to give the secret away with photos, but it's an incredible experience.

The bar differs from the airy, wood-centric feel of the restaurant in that it's a Christmas-themed pop up that will serve up festive cocktails in a kitschy, fun and warm setting.

The hidden bar opened at 4pm on November 23rd, and will remain open until 6pm on Monday, December 31st.

Would you visit the restaurant, or are you looking for an adventure in the storage closet? Sounds crazy, sure, but it's an adventure you won't forget.

You can visit Makeready Libations & Liberation for yourself at 200 4th Avenue North in Nashville, Tennessee.
If you’re looking for breakfast, this delicious Nashville diner is a fabulous spot for a hefty morning meal.
