Sometimes it seems like Nashville opens a new restaurant every week. There’s always a new concept, a fantastic new food to try, lattes with fun additions like toasted marshmallows or hot dogs served with donuts. With so many new opportunities, the real question lies in how we’re meant to choose just one. Is it possible?
At lou (yep, there’s no uppercase “L” on purpose. Such style!), a European-inspired eatery on the east side of Nashville, there’s no need to choose. The menu is expansive enough for everyone in your party. Plus, the interior design makes it one of the most beautifully curated spaces in the city…
lou touts itself as an all-day cafe, serving up everything from brunch to wine from its natural wine bar. The brain child of California born-and-bred Mailea Weger, she brings a strong culinary history fostered in Paris and New Orleans to the Nashville restaurant scene.
The interior of the restaurant has a refreshing, bohemian vibe balanced with French style. You'll feel the fresh, atmospheric inspiration that hails from Weger's home state and experience in Europe.
Most of the dishes are brunch-centric, so you may find yourself indulging in dishes like eggs with fennel bacon, or perhaps lamb ribs topped with a 5-spice caramel.
The wine bar, however, is both extensive and impressive. Make sure that you at least indulge in a glass while you enjoy the tapas-style menu for dinner. There's even a "breakfast wine," if you simply can't imagine your chorizo and eggs going without.
Will you be joining for a well-earned indulgence? You can visit for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for lighter meals from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner. On Sundays, dinner is served until 9 p.m.
