It’s always fun to cross the Atlantic ocean from the comfort of your Nashville home, don’t you think? The only way we’ve managed to do it is by our taste buds, and Green Hills is really helping us out. Whether you’re indulging in a Greek platter at Kalamata’s or Indian at the Shalimar Restaurant, the once sleepy family neighborhood has managed to electrify its palate with international fare. This week, we stumbled upon a darling little bistro…and found ourselves in France.
Little Gourmand is a locally owned specialty grocery and French bistro in the heart of Nashville's upscale Green Hills neighborhood. Whether you're looking for a flaky, buttery croissant or perhaps a crusty sandwich, this is a solid spot to check out.
Although tucked away in a brick strip mall, the interior design of Little Gourmand perfectly reflects a rustic French shop. It's a fantastic little hole in the wall if you're a fan of French culture or the eponymous capital city of Paris.
There's really nothing in the world that makes us more excited than a big ol' pile of freshly baked croissants. Doesn't this look like heaven on earth?
The outdoor patio is a perfect place to enjoy a leisurely meal or coffee date while out and about. Folks have been known to rave about not only the chocolate croissant on menu, but also the smooth and creamy taste of a classic Americano.
The almond croissants! Wow. These decadent pastries are massive, perfectly suited to sate our sweet tooth. The food is beautifully and lovingly prepared with a true European flair.
You can visit for yourself at 2209 Bandywood Dr, Suite D in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. It's open from 10am tp 530pm Tuesday through Friday, with an earlier open time of 9am on Saturdays. Can't wait to see you there!
