Nashville may be a foodie city, but these five hidden alley restaurants up the ante on atmosphere and aesthetic. If you’re looking for upscale eateries with three forks, you may want to look elsewhere. These fantastic local spots are tucked away in the heart of the city, and we love every single one of them.
The renowned Skull's Rainbow Room is located in Nashville's Printers Alley, and the old speakeasy style space opened circa-1948. It's where you come for live music and one of the oldest burlesque shows in town. Their craft cocktails are also amazing, but can't top the atmosphere. This is an incredible experience you don't want to miss, smack dab in the center of Music City.
Fondly referred to as, "B.A.D", Back Alley Diner is tucked away in Nashville's downtown Printer's Alley, not far from the aforementioned Skull's Rainbow Room. Close to the city's business center, this is a fun and quirky place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Come for a hefty meal and a cheek cracking smile, because BAD is anything but.
Old Glory opened to great fanfare in Nashville's Edgehill Village a few years ago, and we're happy to say it has lived up to the hype. The industrial vibe is tempered by an infusion of plant life, giving this upscale bar an approachable aesthetic.
Ah, Bella Napoli. Is there any better Italian in the city?! We think not. Located in Edgehill VIllage, not far from Old Glory, the outdoor patio under twinkling fairy lights gives the whole experience an unforgettable edge. Order pasta or pizza, and don't skimp on the wine. This beautiful place is well worth a repeat date night.
Anyone missing the UK here in Nashville? Fleet Street Pub may be kitschy, but it goes unparalleled if you're looking for mushy peas or fish and chips served up in newspaper. The low-key space focuses on giving you a chill spot to indulge in popular British fare alongside one of the many imported beers on tap.
