Nashville boasts a whole heap of great spots to eat, including the high-end restaurants of downtown and the Gulch, food trucks lined up in Centennial Park, and the hot chicken eateries that dot the city with cayenne-pepper infused abandon. Midtown, however, is an entirely different story. It’s where you’ll find not only bars but award-winning restaurants and old-school eateries that have stood the test of Nashville’s time. Flatiron just opened in the saturated dining neighborhood, and it’s given a new spark of energy to the area. Well-anticipated and beautifully designed, Flatiron is a new spot you don’t want to skip!
You find the new Flatiron restaurant right on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee, conveniently located right in the midst of the city's bustling Midtown neighborhood. It's not an area without dining options, but it is one where young professionals seek new experiences with true culinary-inspired excitement.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused the much-anticipated opening to delay almost a year, but it seems as if it's been worth the wait. The restaurant has taken the place of Union Common, a Nashville steakhouse that closed its doors just recently after a solid six years in the area.
Now you'll find a menu that boasts weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner with a Nashville twist. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the Nashville-inspired mural that boasts the city's most commonly attributed locales, and you can settle into the cozy space whether you're in jeans or business attire.
The menu includes sandwich options like roast pork, a tuna burger, and even an oyster po'boy for hungry diners. Show up for dinner and you'll be greeted with options like grilled salmon and classics like spaghetti and meatballs.
Don't skip out on the weekly happy hour either! The cocktail program at Flatiron is tidy and effective, so you can expect highly trained bartenders and recommendations that are influenced by seasonal specials. Weekly happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and it's only available while seated at the bar.
Visit Flatiron from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the weekends.
Will you be joining? Have you been? The Flatiron is the new, hip, and fun eatery that Midtown has been missing, and that brunch is something to be had.
Flatiron may be one of the newest places to dine in Nashville, but we’d say that it’s one of the best. You can learn more about it with a visit to its official website or Facebook page.
