It’s just about that time of year again, folks. The leaves will start changing, the weather will finally start cooling off, and folks will be bringing their jackets and sweaters out of the attic in preparation for fall. The turning of the season is one of the most beautiful times of year here in Music City, but it’s also one of the most popular when it comes to things to do around town. The festivals in particular are always big draws for folks from near and far, and we’ve compiled a list of seven Nashville fall festivals that you definitely don’t want to miss this year.
This annual tradition at the home of our seventh president, Andrew Jackson, is always a favorite. There's plenty of music, art, and history to go around, and admission is free! 2018's Fall Fest is scheduled for October 6th and 7th.
This weekend-long festival takes place in Franklin every fall, and it's one of the most underrated music festivals in the country. The 2018 edition will feature Jack White, Lionel Richie, Chris Stapleton, and more! Mark your calendars for September 22nd and 23rd.
Green Door Gourmet in West Nashville will hold their 8th annual Fall Fest in 2018. They always have pumpkin patches, hay bale mazes, wagon rides, and much more. 2018 dates haven't been announced yet, but check their website for more information.
Nashville's Oktoberfest is known as one of the largest in the country, but it's not all beers and brats. There's plenty of cultural education, music, and local artists to peruse. The 2018 edition is taking place on October 11th through the 14th.
Every year, the weekend before Halloween, downtown Franklin transforms in to rows and rows of tents for their annual PumpkinFest! There's local arts and crafts, and of course loads and loads of pumpkins.
The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Franklin Pike puts on a heck of a party every year with the Nashville Greek Festival. It's a long weekend full of dancing, music, and the best Greek food you've ever had. The 2018 edition is slated for September 7th through the 9th.
From late September through late October every year, Cheekwood puts on a show all across their gardens. There's pumpkins, scarecrows, and much much more. It all culminates with their annual Dia de los Muertos celebration, which is always worth going to. Check out their website for more information.
