The masterminds behind the Brooklyn-based Emmy Squared made their way down south, and just opened their Nashville restaurant in the highly popular Gulch neighborhood.

Their pizza is served Detroit-style, in thick crusted squares and and finished off with dollops of sauce post-baking.

The sauce is put on top of the cheese, which means you get a whole new cheesy consistency as it melts into the bread.

The wood-fired pies were dreamt up by Emily and Matt Hyland, who own two other locations in New York. The wood-fired pizzas have made their way into the hearts of those up north, and now Music City is about to fall in love, too.

Not a pizza fan? Well, we don't believe you. But you can still order up a small plate or sandwich, and pair your meal with beer, wine, or cocktails. Le Big Matt is a popular burger, served on a pretzel bun with waffle fries. Yum!
