The restaurant itself was named after the city of Edessa, once an important city found in Mesopotamia. It was considered a holy site by multiple religions and is now knkown as Urfa. At Edessa in Nashville, the owners are set on providing an indulgent culinary experience that hearkens back to the famed city.
