If you’ve made your way to Nashville in the past few years, you’ve most likely heard of the loud and proud new hotel known as The Graduate. Situated right on 20th Avenue and within walking distance of famed eateries and bars like Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Losers, The Graduate has become something of a local phenomenon. With multiple bars and restaurants inside, it was only natural that this larger-than-life hotel would up the ante on the classic karaoke bar…and it did. How? Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole.
The Graduate Hotel is located in the heart of Nashville and is known for its unique offerings and quirky décor. You'll find everything from a Dolly Parton-themed rooftop at the White Limozeen to eclectic, retro rooms and loaner bikes for visitors.
Downstairs, just off the main lobby, The Graduate even has its own karaoke bar: Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole. For folks 21 and up, it's a fun, moody experience that's bound to lighten any mood.
Though a hotel bar, Cross-Eyed Critters is anything but forgettable. It's the first EVER animatronic karaoke bar in the area, and the unique set-up is entirely entertaining. A trio of animals - a bear, a fox, and a pig - will remind you of those long Saturdays celebrating at Chuck E. Cheese, but with an adult twist.
The rustic décor adds to the moody fun, with black velvet paintings of your favorite country music stars and a hint of kitsch inspired by southern dive bars across the region.
Will you be visiting? Cross-Eyed Critters is currently open with limited capacity seating, and you can visit the bar on Fridays and Saturdays in December from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
No reservations are currently required. Make sure you take advantage of the fun CEC holiday menu while you're at it. The Ebenezer Bleezer is a Christmas cocktail made with sassafras-infused Tennessee Rye Whiskey, and there's something about that hot chocolate made with rum and orange...yum!
