There’s nothing cozier than a chilly evening spent over a steaming, indulgent plate of pasta. The smell of red sauce and meatballs or perhaps the perfectly singed crust of a Neapolitan-style pizza brings to mind feelings of warmth and comfort. Pastaria originally hails from St. Louis, Missouri, but opened its second space right here in Nashville, Tennessee. If you’re looking for updated Italian fare and a beautiful, warm space, the golden glow of this westside restaurant is bound to be a new favorite.
Pastaria is located in the heart of Nashville's westside neighborhood, and it's taken on fresh Italian fare with epic ferocity. Now a local staple, it's been open to the public since the autumn of 2017.
The St. Louis original has brought updtaed Italian wood-fired pizzas and pastas to the heart of Music City. The wood-inspired accents make for a cozy space, and the warm, golden light fixtures only add to the decadent atmosphere.
The open kitchen keeps things fresh and gives diners an up-close-and-personal view of their meals during preparation. The high ceilings and expansive wine and beer menu keep up with a contemporary flair.
That menu! Pastaria serves up dinner and lunch on the daily, and also has a brunch menu. Organic pastas range from the classic Roman Cacio e pepe to pappardelle served with smoked pork, apples and mascarpone.
Don't snub those pizzas, either. The Nduja is a spicy pie, served with tomato, mozzarella, garlic and honey, and the fennel sausage pizza will leave you hungry for more. The homemade fennel garlic sausage is a dream!
The lunch specials offer affordable versions of the dinner menu, with a few happy additions. If you can snag that pistachio ravioli, served with lemon brown butter and mint? Then you're off to a great start! The crispy risotto balls are on the appetizer menu, and serve as a solid sleeper hit, alongside the classic bruschetta.
Pastaria is open every day of the week, ranging from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. depending on the day, with a happy hour from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Make sure to check Resy for reservation opportunities, and come with an empty stomach. This is one indulgent eatery you don't want to miss!
