Every Spring, thousands of Nashvillians flock to Cheekwood Estate and Gardens for their annual Cheekwood in Bloom Festival. The absolutely stunning grounds completely transform in to an incredible display of color as over 150,000 tulips open up alongside the gardens’ perennial displays of hyacinths, dogwood, redbuds, and more. If you’re a nature lover, or even if you’re just looking for a bright spot after the cold winter, then you need to book your tickets to Cheekwood in Bloom ASAP.
Cheekwood Estate and Gardens is one of the most beautiful and decorated places in all of Nashville, and every spring, the grounds are absolutely bursting with flowers.
The Cheekwood in Bloom event typically runs from early March to mid-April, with the 2021 event starting on March 6th and ending on April 11th. During that month, the various flowers around the grounds are on full display.
The tulips are the largest draw to Cheekwood in Bloom with over 150,000 bulbs in tons of varieties and colors. The timing on when exactly they bloom depends on a lot of factors, so be sure to check their Facebook page (the line is provided below) before you go to make sure they're blooming.
In addition to their tulips, springtime is also when the dogwoods, hyacinths, daffodils, magnolias, redbuds, and so much more all spring in to bloom as well.
While you're there, you'll want to be sure to check out the Cheekwood mansion as well! The estate has an extensive history and is beautifully maintained and preserved.
Cheekwood is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and tickets cost $20 per adult to visit the gardens. Tickets to visit both the gardens and the mansion are $25. See you there!
