Nashville is a mecca for folks looking to experience the marriage of country music and high-minded art here in Tennessee. It’s a city that knows how to serve up the fun of a dive bar and the elegant experience of a restaurant that boasts a few stars. Cheekwood Estate and Gardens is one of the most famous art museums in the area, and it’s a great place to visit if you’d like to get in touch with your most stylish self. This summer one of the most unique art exhibits the locale has ever hosted has made an appearance, and it comes highly recommended. Learn more below!
Cheekwood Estate and Gardens has long been known and lauded for presenting some of the most beautiful art exhibitions in the Nashville, Tennessee area. The estate boasts an extensive social calendar and entertains folks all throughout the year.
Visitors come to wander the gardens and ooh and ahh over the artwork housed in the estate itself. The grounds are truly stunning, and you'll find that talented artists have been known to exhibit their art across the expansive property.
From May 1 to September 5, 2021, you can experience one of the most fascinating exhibits Cheekwood has ever hosted: Lego artwork. It's true. Elevated, stunning pieces of artwork created with a single childhood favorite, a medium that's undoubtedly exquisite.
Artist Sean Kenney's Nature POP! exhibition has produced 38 sculptures made completely from LEGO bricks. It took over 800,000 LEGOs to bring the experience together and has resulted in a highly stylized, brightly colored experience that dots the estate's gardens.
There's truly nothing like it, and you and your friends will have the chance to experience a playful spin on what's normally fairly approachable sculptural art. It's a sight to see that's made even better with friends to enjoy it with.
You'll find LEGO sculptures all over the outdoor grounds. Keep in mind, this is only an outdoor exhibition as no sculptures are located within the mansion or art museum.
Advance reservations are required and can be purchased online at Cheekwood's official website, which we've linked below. Admission tickets are sold as timed entry and all guests, including Cheekwood members, are required to have one to visit the estate.
