You probably have a list of restaurants that runs an arm length and grand plans for drinking your way down Broadway. The thing is, everything seems to cost money and it makes it hard to do it all…which is why we found ten super fun things in the city that won’t cost a dime this summer. It's free to visit the Tennessee State Museum, and the current downtown location is chock full of local and southern history. It's a great exploratory experience for adults and children alike.
Fort Negley once operated as a Civil War fort, and you can now visit and wander the gorgeous grounds. Take a spin down the walking path with panoramic views of the city and explore Nashville history at the visitor's center.

As one of the most popular local hiking spots is well-worth a visit from - well, pretty much any one. The lake loop trail is easy to hike and great for children as well as adults.

The Nashville Symphony offers free summer concerts through the months of June and July, and is considered one of the most popular community concert events in the city. It's definitely one of the most elevated!
The gorgeously renovated Riverfront Park brings you right up to the banks of the Cumberland River and has one of the most beautiful views of the city at sunset.
