Game night no longer has to mean a beat up edition of Clue in a friend’s living room. At Game Point Board Game Cafe in Nashville, you can gather your friends to play any of more than 400 games while sipping drinks and snacking from an extensive food menu. That sure beats worn out carpet and a can of Coke.
Game Point came to life when two community members joined their passions. Bob Bernstein was a cafe entrepreneur who loved board games and Rick Keuler was a long time gamer who had organized a successful local board game convention. Together they joined their interests to create Game Point Cafe.
The cafe offers an extensive selection of board games from classics like Scrabble and Monopoly to contemporary break out games like Settlers of Catan. All skill levels are welcome and the cafe has game coaches available evenings and weekends to help with complex rule books.
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the cafe can serve a range of functions, from a family outing to a fun date night or even a corporate team building event.
While playing, gamers can order from a cafe menu featuring breakfast and lunch sandwiches, burgers, and snacks like warm pretzels and house made hummus.
If you play a game at the cafe and fall in love with it, you can purchase it on site. The cafe works hard to keep prices as low as possible to spread the joy.
