11 Tourist Traps Actually Worth Visiting In Nashville
Tennessee has become a booming tourist state in the last couple of years, and not just for the mountains. Well…the PEOPLE are a crazy draw, too, but Nashville has done a great job making itself a top spot for folks all over the globe. There are a ton of tours crisscrossing the city and honkytonks stuck in the downtown area, but these eleven spots throughout the city are perfect for your trip. Even a local could try ’em out – no shame, folks!

The Pancake Pantry has been open in Nashville since the early 60's, and has become well known for its fluffy pancakes and penchant for a line looped around the block.

The Belmont Mansion was built in the 1850's, and is located on the campus of Belmont University. It's a gorgeous homage to Tennessee's past, and tours are a must! They're included as part of the guided tour, if you're curious.

Ah, Biscuit Love. The little restaurant that could. It opened in The Gulch neighborhood of Nashville a few years ago, and has inspired crowds to line up around the building ever since. Go early to miss the crowds, but brunch HARD if you wait to get in the doors. It's delicious!

Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, although you'll be hobnobbing with tourists there's nothing like experiencing the life of Johnny Cash, laid out right in front of you. There's so much heart in the legend.

This gorgeous space is well known as an event venue, but it's perfect for a lazy summer day stroll if you're looking for an experience soaked in history.

Some folks balk at the pricing of the Country Music Hall of Fame, but we'd say it's worth it for any true country music lover. It's a neat space to explore, especially since it features a conglomeration of contemporary and classic artists.

The stunning Cheekwood mansion is known for its millions of Christmas lights, but we'd recommend checking out their art installations and features throughout the year - especially when the flowers bloom in the springtime!

Biscuits from heaven - (depending on whether or not you're counting calories!) can be found at The Loveless Cafe. These puffy biscuits are so dreamy that you're never going to get out of there with only one under your belt. We'd recommend going early, to miss the crowds.

You've probably heard of the Bluebird Café - where Taylor Swift sang before she made it big, where Garth Brooks peddled his songs and entertained crowds. Nowadays you can head over for a songwriters night if you wait in line long enough! We'd recommend buying tickets online beforehand, though, to make sure that you get in the doors.

The Mother Church of country music is where the original Grand Ole Opry took place - this is where Patsy Cline took the stage, and its event calendar is chock-full of contemporary music stars and comedians as well.

Surrounded by locals, The Parthenon is located right across the street from Vanderbilt University, and quite a few festivals and fairs are held in its shadow. It's a fun place to jog and catch a frisbee game, if you're looking to let loose on the weekends.
