Slim & Husky’s is the hoppin’ new Nashville joint that has made quite the splash amongst the young folks this summer. Filled to the brim with kind locals and a jovial staff, it has definitely earned its fabulous reputation. We decided to take a trip and try out their reputable pies – and you know what? They’re worth every bit of fanfare. We went earlier in the morning, around 11am, and watched the line spew into the street while we ate. Get here early and stay awhile, friends – Nashville is lucky to have such a neat space.

Slim and Husky's Pizza Beeria has made quite a name for itself in the last couple of weeks, exploding onto the Nashville restaurant scene with their twist on the personal pizza.

After waiting in a bit of a line (Nashville knows good food, folks), you'll be able to walk down an assembly line, directing the staff on the best toppings for your pizza pie. There's no limit on toppings, either!

Their space, located in the same North Nashville area as the Nisolo and Consider the Wldflwrs retail spaces, is open and warm, pivoting hard on the popular airy, white aesthetic of current restaurant design.

The attention to detail throughout the restaurant is refreshing and clean, and the employees on staff are extremely welcoming. There's just something to visiting a restaurant that is a fan of you being there, you know?

Their outdoor space is great for the cooler months, although right about now you may find yourself scrambling for the cool air inside.

"Slim" and "Husky" actually refer to the two types of pizza sizes you can order, the slim being a ten-inch pizza and the husky clocking in at sixteen. There's a handful of pre-made pizza choices to pick from, or you can make your own down the assembly line completely from your own imagination.

There is a bar in the eating area that is chock-full of dipping sauces and cheese, with to-go boxes galore if you'd rather take your food home.

Communal seating and large windows keep the restaurant inviting, although finding a seat during peak hours tends to be a bit difficult.

This here, friends? Is their California Love pizza with ham - it's a whole lot of pesto, red onion, cheese and artichoke baked to perfection. Dreamy!
