Ah, cheeseburgers. Cheeseburgers and fries and milkshakes. The sound of rock ‘n roll on the jukebox, sharing the straw to your malted. There’s really nothing more American or enjoyable than experiencing the sound of the fresh sizzle of a patty on the grill and the greasy taste of meat and cheese tucked away in a cheeseburger. Although thoughts of New York or small town Americana might come to mind when you think of the best cheeseburger cities out there, here in the south only one state has a city that holds the deliciously greasy title: Tennessee.
1. Dino's - 411 Gallatin Avenue

2. Gabby's Burger & Fries - 493 Humphreys Street
Gabby's is well-known for kicking folks out of the dining area once they finish their burger, mainly because a line of hungry burger seekers wraps around the building at lunchtime. 3. Husk - 37 Rutledge Street
Husk is a Charleston-based restaurant that has made its second home in the heart of Nashville. The menu is seasonal and based on locally-sourced ingredients, but it's the brunch Husk burger that we know and love. Cross your fingers it's on the menu when you visit - this one's a doozy!
4. Hugh-Baby's - 4816 Charlotte Avenue
Hugh-Baby's is located on the west side of town and is made to reflect an age lost to time: the 1950's. Make sure to sample the house-made ketchup and aioli on the tables.
7. Burger Republic - 6900 Lenox Village Drive #22
Some call the burgers at Burger Republic the best in Nashville, whereas others can't seem to talk at all because of the salty crush of french fries and ketchup in their mouths. It's okay, we got you. There are multiple locations throughout Nashville and even vegetarian options for those on the hunt.
8. ML Rose Craft Beer & Burgers - Various Locations

10. Rotier's Restaurant - 2413 Elliston Place
Did you know that Charlie Daniel's has claimed Rotier's as his favorite restaurant in Nashville? We're not sure if it has anything to do with the cheeseburgers served on french bread (!!!), but we have a pretty good feeling about it...this old school spot is a local classic, a true legend, well worth a date night.
11. The Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden - 731 Mcferrin Avenue
The Farm Burger is well-known around these parts, for boasting meat from "every animal on the farm" Yep, that's the kind of imaginative spark you get at the Pharmacy Burger. Their black bean burgers are also delicious, and we'd highly recommend one of their homemade cream sodas if you have the space in your stomach. They're well worth it!
