Nashville, Tennessee is a city that’s known for its vibrant music scene and decadent dining culture. From fried chicken to macaroni and cheese to incredible cups of coffee, Music City sure knows how to fill the bellies of its locals. One of the city’s newest additions, Baked On 8th, has made waves with its sweet treats and indulgent baked goods. If you haven’t been, this local legend is well worth a visit. And if you have? Then you should probably make your way back. There’s nothing like a piece of frosted cake in the midst of a busy week, and Baked On 8th has the best slice in the city.
Baked On 8th made waves a few years ago when the small local bakery opened their doors on the oft-ventured and highly popular Eighth Avenue South. The exterior is simple, with a beautiful, very Nashville-esque mural painted on the side wall, and the interior studded with a myriad of sweet treats.
Cookies, cakes, pies and brownies are the name of the game at this locally owned bakery. Locals rave about the highly inventive cereal treats on the menu, and every brownie is balanced with a blondie.
All the treats at Baked On 8th on made on the premises with the freshest ingredients available. It seems rare that such an Instagrammable space is also purely delicious, but Nashville knows how to serve up sweets with a side of social media aesthetic, it seems.
Frothy Monkey coffee is available as well as a small espresso bar for well-crafted caffeinated beverages. Although Baked On 8th is not a purely gluten-free facility, they do offer gluten-free items. All you have to do is ask!
Visit Baked On 8th for yourself from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
