In West Nashville, the plant-based restaurant Avo made waves for its inspired menu and neat location: in a converted shipping container. If you’ve never been, it’s quite the experience, and if you have? Well, you probably have plans to return.
AVO has made waves with its avocado margaritas and locally sourced vegan ingredients, but we're more impressed with the space they've carved from a standard shipping container.
Graced with greenery and wood accents, the interior of the restaurant is both clean and modern. Some may consider it the epitome of a Millennial concept, steeped in environmentally-friendly processes with a contemporary flair and higher than average price tag.

The menu centers on raw and vegan fare, served fresh and prepared with a kind and hospitable edge.

As one of the few exclusively vegan restaurants in the area, it's nice to indulge in a beautiful space as well as a fresh meal. Indulge in avocado toast or the crispy sweet potato fries, and maybe finish off the meal with a cheesecake.
