Longer days of sunlight, blooming flowers, budding trees, and warmer weather can only mean one thing: spring is upon us! I love spring in Tennessee as I find inspiration to once again get outside and enjoy our wonderful state. To give you yet another reason to fall in love with this time of the year, allow me to introduce to you what springtime at Dollywood is all about. The Flowers and Food Festival is kicking off soon and is sure to bring quite a splash of color with it. Most consider this to be the best spring festival in Tennessee, and I would agree it’s pretty amazing. As people start to flock to their favorite outdoor spots Pigeon Forge is usually on many people’s radar and Dollywood gives us just another reason to head to the Smoky Mountain region.

There is a reason why people will continue to go back time and time again, and year after year. The rides are amazing, the shows are fantastic, and the overall experience is quite remarkable. We have to agree the decorations are second to none and the whole park gets a massive decorative overhaul when it comes to springtime.
Shaped bushes are beautifully decorated to look like various animals and are filled with splashes of color. Peacocks, frogs, turtles, bees, and butterflies are just some of the animals that have been on display in the past and you never know what ornate designs they might have this year.

The Umbrella Sky section is a long series of hanging umbrellas overhead shining a colorful array of pastel colors down on guests. This picturesque place is sure to alight visitors and bring back a brilliant setpiece to this already stunning park.
To celebrate spring, entertainers will put on a lively show as they spring and soar through the air. Live music has always been a big part of Dollywood and the stages will be lit up with dynamic shows throughout the day.

The sweet smell of cinnamon bread is always in the air, but during the springtime festivities, there are other mouth-watering scents to draw you in. These foods are only available during the festival so you will want to snag them up while you have the chance.
