There’s nothing like a horseback ride through the Tennessee wilderness, is there? It’s a calming, beautiful experience that takes you out of the hubbub of daily life and gives you the chance to feel at peace with nature. It’s half the reason any of us live in the state, after all! Other than the kind people and the good food and fantastic job opportunities, but still. As we were scouring the state for fun experiences and beautiful day trips, we came across the Natchez-Trace Riding Stables and their amazing moonlight horseback rides.
The historic Natchez-Trace splits the state of Tennessee and runs straight on to Mississippi, a low-key thoroughfare that takes you through some of the prettiest countryside in the nation.
All rides are designed with the riders in mind - your safety is paramount, and your horseback riding guides are highly trained and helpful no matter age or ability.
Natchez-Trace Riding Stables provides an intimate opportunity to experience horseback riding without any pomp and circumstance. Come, have a good time and enjoy your time out in the Tennessee wilderness. Your guided trail ride will meander through the woods and meadows, across creeks and the expanse of our great state's open spaces.
You'll want to book ahead for any type of ride, but especially their night and full moon rides. Reservations are required, and there's really no better way to experience the nighttime beauty of Tennessee. It's a calming, safe experience that you really can't get anywhere else in Middle Tennessee.
Prices are incredibly reasonable, with a 2 hour group ride coming in at $50 a person, and $100 a person if you'd rather head out into the wilderness on a private ride. Make sure to bring the customary $10 tip per person for your trail guide, as well. They work hard to give folks a beautiful experience in the Tennessee wilderness.
You can call 931-682-3706 to make reservations and get directions and instructions for the day - or night! Get out there and have fun, folks. This is an evening to remember.
