The garden is actually made up of 31 smaller, specialty gardens that feature different kinds of flowers or plants like hydrangeas or wildflowers.

The gardens have grown over time, starting in the 1950s when the city first acquired the land and turned it into a park. The first ever garden in the park was created in 1953 thanks to a gift from a local woman's garden.

Now, the park greets more than 230,000 guests per year. Folks from everywhere just love to come check out the flower displays that are on year-round, and we can't blame them!

The garden has events happening year-round. Their cherry blossoms in the Spring and their annual Christmas lights displays are among the most popular.
