Out in East Memphis is one of the most beautiful spots in the entire state of Tennessee. It’s the Memphis Botanic Garden, and they’re known for having the most vibrant and beautiful flower and plant displays around, but that’s not all they have. From kids programs to a giant play area to all kinds of annual community events, the Memphis Botanic Garden is sure to delight you no matter how old (or young!) you are.
The Memphis Botanic Garden is one of the most beautiful spots in the city. At more than 96 acres, there's so much to see and do, and all of it is absolutely stunning.
The garden is actually made up of 31 smaller, specialty gardens that feature different kinds of flowers or plants like hydrangeas or wildflowers.

The gardens have grown over time, starting in the 1950s when the city first acquired the land and turned it into a park. The first ever garden in the park was created in 1953 thanks to a gift from a local woman's garden.
