Buying used is the name of the game now as folks seek new ways to sustain the planet and indulge in their favorite pastimes without leaving a footprint. McKay’s is one of the premier places for folks in Tennessee and the surrounding states to not only recycle their used books, movies and music, but it’s a great spot to indulge in a lightly used favorite. A prime spot for families and singles alike, McKay’s is a true favorite for all. Check it out below!
The shelves are seemingly endless and yet are meticulously organized. You know that if you wander that literary fiction aisle that you'll find exactly what you're looking for due to the store's organization.
The staff works hard to organize all of the media that's donated by locals. If you choose to donate your own used books, you're eligible either for a cash payout or store credit. We'd recommend the store credit - more books mean more stories! What a way to indulge your imagination.
There's also a large inventory of used movies, records, CDs, video games and board games. McKay's really accepts most anything. If you're looking for that record you loved so many years ago, chances are you'll find it here.
Both Knoxville and Nashville have locations that are filled with thousands of lightly used materials. Come and visit for yourself, and find a new favorite to curl up with on the couch.
Visit McKay's for yourself from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
