The two business partners of Mauricio’s have been in the hospitality industry for quite some time. Before they returned to their hometown of Cookeville they operated a club in Miami. That experience led them to start a new business venture in the little town of Cookeville. The owner’s sister owned this historic house and after a little remodeling, they discovered it was a perfect place to host an Italian restaurant.
The setting is cozy and unique, giving guests the feeling that they have been invited into a home for an incredible, scratch-made meal.
There are five dining rooms and on a slow night you and your party may have the whole room to yourself. The entire place gives off a comfortable and inviting vibe akin to a home dining experience.

Three of the dining rooms have fireplaces which will give a certain glow to the room and create a romantic atmosphere.
The setting is perfect for a date night to spend some quality time sharing a meal together. The restaurant also is a great setting for family gatherings -- after all, Mauricio’s is hidden away in an old house and what better place to gather the family together?
As for the menu, every item has a Mauricio spin on it. After exploring many options the owners decided to return to one of their favorite cuisines for inspiration: Italian.

One popular choice is the chicken parmesan, with every bite bursting with flavor.
