The Burgers At This Tennessee Restaurant Weigh More Than A Pound
Tennessee is known for their incredible foods, from melt-in-your-mouth barbecue to the best biscuits you’ll find anywhere on the planet. But there’s one restaurant that’s making a name for itself when it comes to burgers, and it’s making that name in a HUGE way. Literally — these burgers are massive. Whether you get the 4-pound, 6-pound, or 12-pound burger, you’ll probably need some friends to help finish the job.

The Kooky Canuck in Memphis serves absolutely colossal burgers at its two locations, one in downtown on 2nd Avenue and the other in Cordova.

At the Kooky Canuck, they really live up to their name. The entire restaurant is decked out with wood like a Canadian cabin, and the walls are covered with antlered animals.

At the Kooky Canuck, they really do their burgers right. Everything on the menu is worthy of a pilgrimage, but there are certain burgers that are certifiably crazy.

The Kooky Canuck makes a burger called the "Kookamonga," which is 4 pounds of beef and totals 7.5 pounds once you factor in the bread, lettuce, and other toppings.

If you can finish the burger by yourself in an hour, you get the meal for free. They also have the King Kookamonga (6 pounds), and the Humonga Kookamonga (12 pounds) that you can finish with one or two other friends, respectively, you'll get that meal for free as well.

If (somehow), you still have room after eating one of those monster burgers, be sure to order one of their deep dish cookies a la mode. These things are worth a trip to the Kooky Canuck by themselves.

Grab some friends and try out a Kookamonga burger soon! They're open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day at their original downtown location (87 S 2nd St.), so you can even go for a late night bite if you want.
If you’re more of a barbecue fan than a burger lover, you need to visit this hidden gem just outside of Chattanooga.
