Macaroni and cheese is a true American classic for a myriad of reasons. Loved by folks of all ages, this creamy, sometimes crispy, always indulgent meal has become synonymous with a feeling of sated comfort. In Martin, Tennessee, southern mac ‘n cheese lovers have taken their obsession to the next level with The Grind Mac & Cheese Burger Bar, an incredible foray into the world of American comfort food. Have you been?
The Grind opened to heaps of local fanfare in 2017, with Martin residents Alan, Mark and Lisa Laderman at the helm. Their combined experience in the restaurant business is overwhelming, and their dream of a nostalgic and indulgent destination eatery has been welcomed with open arms.
If you make your way to The Grind Mac & Cheese Burger Bar, you'll find yourself dining in a space that managed to evoke a sense of big city industrial charm alongside nostalgic 90's pop culture.
The menu is just as expansive as the atmosphere. You can enjoy everything from the Luther burger, your favorite meat and toppings tucked between two glazed donuts, or the Balboa burger that boasts perfectly spiced sauce.
Then of course, there's the true star of the show: macaroni and cheese. Pictured you can see the lobster mac and cheese, which makes a New England splash, and we're a huge fan of the chicken mac alfredo. Alfredo sauce on your macaroni and cheese?! Sign us up. Twice.
Here you can see the Buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and over the top creation that's covered in hot Cheetos dust. We applaud the inventiveness and can't wait to dig in! Is your mouth watering yet...?
Amongst others, the cavatini mac and bacon cheeseburger mac also make our list of top cheesy eats. You can pair them with equally decadent Frachos and freedom fries, if your stomach allows.
Ah. Then there's dessert. These generous sweet treats run the gamut on the milkshake flavor scale, from the classic American Dream Shake to Oreo Cookies & Cream.
You can experience this grand Tennessee eatery for yourself at 112 Lovelace Avenue in Martin, Tennessee. Hours run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day but Friday and Saturday, when closing hours are extended to 10 p.m.
