The festival started in 1994 as a way for the community to gather together and honor one of Tennessee’s biggest cash crops. In the beginning, the festival featured classic activities such as a tractor rodeo.
As time went on, more and more events were added and each year, the festival got bigger and better. Having a parade, live music, and lots of good BBQ became staples that brought people together for this annual event.
