If you’ve ever wanted to see the city of Knoxville from the water, then you’ve hit the jackpot, friends. Knoxville Cycleboats is a newly minted outdoor experience here in the heart of the city, one that just launched on September 15th, 2021. The experience offers groups of 20 or fewer folks the chance to enjoy a cycle boat experience on the Tennessee River, and we have ALL the details. If you’re looking for fun on the waterfront here in Knoxville, then there’s only one answer.
Knoxville Cycleboats is a mash-up between a bike ride and a boating adventure located on the Tennessee River. You'll reserve your time on a boat, then sit at a communal table outfitted with operating bike pedals at your feet so you can cycle your way along the riverfront.
You'll be cycling to operate the boat's paddlewheel, and will be guided down a stretch of the Tennessee River by a well-trained, expert captain. Of course, there's also a motor that's utilized for backup, so no worries about testing out your athletic abilities!
All of the boats at Knoxville Cycleboats are BYOB, so make sure you pack plenty of snacks and beverages for your enjoyment. Bring your favorite beer, pack a sandwich, and don't forget the Doritos!
Knoxville Cycleboats offers the city's first cycle boat experience, and you can reserve an entire boat for your own party. There's Bluetooth on board so you can play your favorite tunes, and you can plan for each ride to be 90 minutes long.
Can you imagine how perfect this experience will be for game day, or one of those long, sultry summer afternoons when you're ready and raring for a bit of fun?
Prices and reservation fees differ depending on the day, but you can plan on $450 for a private 90-minute tour on the weekdays and up to $700 on the weekends. Game-day reservations are for 120-minute private tours and cost $850 per ride.
