It’s also no secret that everyone loves a good waterfall, but the reality is that some waterfalls are basically inaccessible to parents with kids. There just seems to be something about taking young kids miles and miles through rough terrain to get there that doesn’t seem to go over well. No fear, parents! We’ve got just the place for you. Rutledge Falls in Middle Tennessee is a super easy and kid-friendly hike that takes you to one of the most fun and enjoyable waterfalls around. Take a look!

Rutledge Falls is tucked into the beautiful Coffee County, about an hour and fifteen minutes southeast of Nashville.

The falls are accessible via a small parking lot with a short trail that leads to the overlook, where you get this stunning view of the falls.

To get down to the falls, there is a short trail that can be steep in places but is perfectly manageable, even for families with kids. The whole like down to the falls is less than half a mile, making it about a mile round-trip.

To get to the falls, the best way is to search your GPS for Rutledge Falls Baptist Church in Tullahoma and park in the pull off spots across Rutledge Falls Road from the church. From there, walk away from the intersection that the church is at until you come to a large opening in the fence on the right side before the curve. Follow the path that goes from the road through the opening, and it will take you right to the falls!
