Many of us know Jonesborough as the oldest town in Tennessee, a spot that's highly proud of its history that pre-dates statehood and of its well-known moniker: "The Storytelling Capital of the World."

But did you also know, dear friends, that it's one of the best spots in the state to go antiquing? It's true! There are a handful of sweet spots scattered throughout the town that not only make afternoon wandering fun, but offer up some of the most authentic Tennessee trinkets you'll find this side of the Mississippi.

150 years ago, Jonesborough Antiques & Artisans was a hardware shop, but now you can visit over 30 antique dealers that take up 10,000 square feet of space. There's truly something here for everyone in this expansive yet sweet antique shop.

The Jonesborough Flea Market is another great spot to visit, with vendors that offer up all sorts of goods, from decor to freshly picked fruit. The prices are great and the people are kind, and you'll just need to head five minutes out of town to Telford, Tennessee to take part.

Antiques & Things is another great spot, offering everything from furniture and collectibles to the option to sell your own antiques in search of something new. It's a great spot for locals to frequent, especially with the opportunity to filter out your own decor.

The well-preserved town serves as almost a Tennessee time capsule. You come to see the way things once were, tucked in a glass snow globe of a town. Isn't it magical in the wintertime, too? There's no need to save your shopping trips for the height of summer, folks!
